In January 2018, the Corporate Governance Council (“Council”) proposed revisions to the Code of Corporate Governance (“Code”). Arising from the Council’s recommendations, the Singapore Exchange Limited is proposing amendments to the listing rules. Key changes include streamlining the Code to encourage more meaningful and thoughtful application as opposed to a box-ticking mentality.
