Timothy’s responsibilities and duties as Partner, Professional Standards & Assurance concern firm level adherence to professional standards and applicable legal and regulatory requirements in addition to the regular client work. Timothy engages in monitoring the developments in international and local accounting and assurance standards and regulatory changes that impact financial reporting. Timothy is also involved in technical consultations from internal and external stakeholders and in building technical knowledge and capabilities in the firm.

Experience

Timothy has had extensive experience of about 20 years in assurance and advisory services, including 10 years with Big-Four accounting firm. Timothy has worked with clients from a wide range of industries, including that of public entities and not-for-profit organisations. Highlights of Timothy’s experience have included performing audits and financial reporting related engagements in public fund raising projects such as issuance of comfort letters; performing control-based and substantive audits on public entities, charities and statutory boards in accordance with relevant laws and regulations of these entities; and reviewing and analysing financial statements and disclosures in accordance with SFRS/IFRS, Singapore Companies Act and SGX Listing Manual requirements.
